Walkin’ Down The Line

Writings on psychotherapy and music

About Me

Hello, I'm Claire Loveday.

I’ve just left Crouch End, London, after 3 decades of living off the Broadway, and have moved to Hastings. Now seems as good a time as any to start the blog I always planned to write, but never did. I’ll be writing about psychotherapy.  Does it work? Why can’t it be more effective? And what is therapy anyway? I also like to wander back in time and look at famous therapists/analysts who are of interest to me. I’m not sure that any of this has a good impact on my mental health, but it certainly keeps me occupied.

Another interest is music. The less known to me, the better. I inherited a mini collection of vinyl records (can you still call them LPs?) from my late partner - the much-missed Professor Richard Green.

Richard told me about seeing Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Nina Simone in Greenwich Village. And he went to a Trini Lopez concert in a tiny bar somewhere, long before Trini was famous. I look forward to exploring just some of the records Richard left behind. I love doing a bit of research, and I’m hoping to end up with some new musical faves by the end of it.
